Work-Life Grant
Many times employees may find it difficult to juggle between work and family. Especially in these cases whereby, working parents with young children or needy family members at home that requires attention. With these situations at home, employees cannot focus completely at work. These impact negatively on both employees and the company.
Therefore, it is important to encourage companies to find ways and help their employees. Work-Life Grant (WLG) provides funding to support companies that implement a Flexible Work Arrangement (FWAs) for its employees. This initiative is to help both companies and employees to find the right balance in creating a work-life harmony.
What are the incentives?
The grants consist of 2 components; FWA incentive and Job Sharing Incentive. The eligible company can apply for both grants.
1) FWA incentive: Up to S$70,000 per company over 2 years
2) Job Sharing Incentive: Up to S$35,000 per company for over 2 years.
Companies need to implement a job-sharing arrangement among the employees. Qualifying employees need to have a gross monthly salary of at least S$3,600 before the job-sharing arrangements.
Enhanced WLG (Covid-19)
Due to the global pandemic situation, most businesses are required to implement safety measures such as work from home and staggered hours arrangements. Companies will receive up to S$70,000 per company when it shows the daily adoption of work from home and/or staggered hours for 1 month (After circuit breaker).
Who can register for the grants?
Any company that is registered and incorporated in Singapore. This includes societies and non-profit organisations such as charities and voluntary welfare organisations. Governmental agencies, statutory boards, and other organisation of-state are not eligible.
